Hello again, Suddenly Meow players! This is the ultimate Walkthrough for Suddenly Meow 3, written by our friend and guru Match 3 player Kathy Lew (SynthpopAddict).
Game interface:
You can select windowed mode and adjust the window size, and adjust the volume of the game sounds/music in the gears button in the opening screen and in the Screen and Audio submenu in the Match 3 levels. If you enjoy using custom cursors, there are now several choices to pick from. The default cursor selected at the far left of the cursor options is the standard Windows cursor. Note that if you pick a custom cursor, the speed of cursor movement slows a little, so if you have an older PC it’s best to stick with the Windows cursor.
In game levels, the Menu button at the top right is the place to go for pretty much everything. Play around with the different options given there to change the game mode, switch between cursors while in-game, adjust your powerup and move hint options, review your previously played levels and return to Tim’s Hideout in case you’re worried you missed something. One feature I like is “show highlight box on mouse hover” in the Cursor section, which is not turned on by default, so I always go to that section and enable it to make spotting where the cursor is a little easier. The “scale icons on mouse hover” causes pieces you move the cursor over to enlarge a little, which also helps you keep track of where the cursor is.
There is a ton of in-game help to where it’s almost obnoxious, so I won’t go much into the mechanics here. Suffice it to say that if you’ve never played any of the Suddenly Meow games before, play the tutorial levels or you may be pretty confused trying to figure it out on your own. The Help book at the top right and the Context Help button at the bottom are terrific resources. These aren’t “traditional” M3s but puzzle games using a M3 mechanic. Most of SM3 is the “collect fish” type level.
In a nutshell, Tim has to collect all the fish from a level, and if his pal Spooky is present, Spooky needs to get all the treasure chests in order to win. You can’t move the cats with a single match – the idea is to make a lighted path between a cat and the item to collect. Making a match next to a cat or next to a target item makes a few spaces light up. Any other matches don’t count. Then you have to make another match adjacent to those lighted spaces where at least one of the spaces in your next match touches the lighted area to make the lighted area grow. It is often useful to build your pathway from both ends and hook them up in the middle. Keep doing this until you have a contiguous lighted pathway for Tim or Spooky to reach the target item. The things which usually trip me up are that Tim and Spooky won’t go diagonally, so the pathway must not have any little gaps where the lighted area only touches on a diagonal, or getting ahead of myself and make matches not touching a lighted area because I’ve thought a few moves too far ahead. A lighted space goes dark after 20 moves. A word of caution: Tim and Spooky can block each other’s pathway, so the trick with several levels is to collect things in a very particular order to avoid being hopelessly stuck!
It really helps to play all the minigames, especially if you’re playing in relaxed mode, because you get a lot of gold for doing so. You need the gold for building Tim’s Hideout, where Tim and Spooky will receive battle skill upgrades for each part built. In the Halves games, start with the obvious items to pair up, and that will make the trickier or multiple items easier to match at the end for those extra 1000 “flawless” coins. In the jigsaw puzzles, mousing over the icon at the bottom right will flash you an image of the completed picture. Some of the jigsaw puzzles only require you to swap the pieces around while others require both swapping pieces and using the right mouse button to rotate pieces.
Battle tips:
This time, Tim’s Hideout was designed to give you all the different battle skill upgrades at different points of the game, and you don’t want to only upgrade one skill at the expense of the others while waiting for enough gold to be collected to buy the others. I just purchased the next thing available on the left side of the buying area until everything was bought. When you have sufficient gold at the end of a level, the end level dialog will tell you so. Clicking on the Tim’s Hideout button there is the easiest way to get to the Hideout after the game has unlocked it. Note that a lot of the items can be moved around (I don’t get why that little springy toy is up on the roof by default LOL), and several can have the style changed as a nice little bonus. Click on the Styles button in the Hideout to see all the different options for customization.
Spooky will toss bombs and fish onto the playfield in battle levels and the goal is for Tim to attack the boss mostly by throwing bombs until all the boss’ hit points are depleted. Making matches anywhere (regardless of whether they help make a pathway or not) will damage the boss slightly. The bosses don’t just attack Tim directly now, but can place obstacles onto the playfield to block Tim’s pathway. In order to reach a bomb, you do the same pathway creation as in “collect fish” levels, and getting the fish are just like getting fish anywhere else in the game. The fish restore some of Tim’s hit points, but I find that they are far less common than the bombs, so it’s better to work on getting to a bomb over a fish. The harder bosses move around randomly, so not all bombs thrown will hit them. If you get lucky and manage to move Tim at the right time, it’s possible for Tim to avoid a direct attack if he can run out of the way.
Walkthrough
Note that the 2 bonus stars present in every level have now been designed to be collected with matches you make, so you can’t just restart the board until you get a lucky setup anymore if you want to 3 star levels. I have confirmed that all levels are playable without using any powerups in both limited moves and timed modes, although this is quite the challenge in limited moves mode.
Level 1: I have been told by the developer that a lot of players couldn’t figure out how to play “collect fish” levels in the first 2 games, which is why there’s the “more help” button on the bottom left as kind of an additional tutorial for how to play. This button only appears on level 1, so don’t worry about being excessively nannied if you know the mechanic. Click on the popup dialog to make it go away. I work on the 2 stars, then eat the fish starting from the bottom left and going to the right.
Level 2: While working on reaching the levers, get the stars. The lever on the top right opens the top center, and the lever in the bottom center opens the right side. Flip both levers to the right and clear out an access point to each fish. Don’t accidentally flip a lever back to the left while making your pathways, because the spikes will erase any lighted spaces you made over the spiked area.
Level 3: While collecting the stars, charge the magnet. When the stone has moved, flip the lever to the right. Go for all the fish.
HOS 1 appears after level 3.
Level 4: Clear out the wood blocking the stars, but if something hasn’t lined up by them, wait until you’re ready to get the fish nearby before trying to collect the stars. Eat the 3 fish on the left side, then flip the lever to the right and get the next 3 fish. Clear all the wood in the column between the magnet and stone. Use the magnet to pull the stone on top of it and eat the last fish.
Tim’s Hideout unlocks after level 4 and several parts are ready to buy.
Level 5: I’m thinking Tim must have asked a map app to find a sushi place and it took him to a lake and told him to jump in LOL. Use the magnets to grab the stones. Clear the wood blocking the stars and get them before removing the rest of the wood and Tim will look as if he’s dived in for that fish. Hey, the game did say Tim was a hero cat at the beginning!
Level 6: Get an access point to each of the 3 air horns and have them blow the stones out of the violet roads while you’re working on the stars. Get rid of the wood in the violet road blocking Tim, then eat the next fish in the top center by the 2nd violet road. Clear the last of the wood in the 2nd road.
Haha, I wonder what’s holding those balloons down, as they look as if they’re just suspended in midair when you buy all the Hideout parts “in order”…the mystery will be solved later if you leave the balloons floating where they are.
HOS 2 is a variation of a spot the differences game. Here, you find the 4 things which are not in the picture on the right by clicking on them in the left picture (envelope, keys, stapler, tennis ball).
Level 7: The cats have taken a break and left you to manipulate the rune stones. Break out the wood by the top left air horn and use it to blow the yellow rune over to its partner. Get the star at the top, then flip the lever to the right. While working on charging the bottom right air horn, get the star nearby, then blow the green rune to its partner.
Spooky: “Hey Tim, just remember this was MY hideout first, since I will get here before you do if the player builds this place in order. So much for ‘Tim’s’ Hideout! Mwahaha!”
Level 8: Use the magnet to pull the stone into the electricity. This frees a star, so get that next. Eat the 2 fish on the bottom. Then go left and up for 3 fish which will free the star on the bottom right before heading over to the right for the last fish behind the wood.
Level 9: Tim: “Spooky, since you’re so excited over those treasure chests, you can go get them while I just help myself to all the free fish here. Guess you’ll have to go shopping later.” Tim only eats fish, and Spooky only picks up treasure chests, and this is true for the entire game. Getting Spooky to a treasure chest is exactly like how you’d get Tim to a fish. Have Spooky pick up the chest by the stone first, then move him to the chest near the bottom to get him out of the pathway of the magnet. Use the magnet to grab the stone. Tim now has some existing pathway to use. Move Tim down for the first fish, get the star which used to be behind Tim, then move Tim to the bottom left corner fish. Move Spooky to the chest on the bottom right, then Tim to the bottom right fish. Move Tim to the top center fish, and get the star from the bottom left corner afterwards. Move Spooky to the last chest.
Level 10: First boss battle. You should be able to defeat this boss with 2 bomb tosses if you’ve won all the minigames so far and bought all the available parts in the Hideout to this point, so get the stars before working on throwing bombs.
Level 11: Pairing up the runes will get rid of that spinning blade obstacle. Break the 2 wood boxes in between the runes, then use the air horn to blow the runes together. Gather the stars, then eat the fish going generally from left to right.
Jigsaw puzzle 1 appears after level 11.
Level 12: Remove the wood between the bottom right magnet and the rune at the bottom left. Use the bottom right magnet to pull the rune over to the right. Get the now freed star from the bottom left corner. The rune on the bottom right is aligned with another magnet in the top right, so use that magnet to pull the rune up. Collect the star in the top right while you’re charging the magnet. Once the rune has moved up, use the air horn on the left to blow the runes together. Tim can now get to all the fish.
Level 13: Conveyor belts, which the game calls “grey stripes”, are introduced here. An important thing to remember is the start of a conveyor belt is the pink square and things move away from the pink square – you will need to know this when another obstacle appears later. Pick a side and clear out the wood so the fish is pulled all the way through the conveyor belt to the end. Make your pathway to the fish as usual. Avoid breaking the 2 wood boxes in the center because that will make getting the last star hard if Tim accidentally eats the fish in the middle before eating the 2 fish on the sides. After eating the fish on the chosen side, get the star there and then repeat the process on the other side, leaving the fish in the middle until you’ve gotten the fish on the other side and the 2nd star. Break the last wood boxes blocking the middle fish and eat the middle fish.
Level 14: Get the star on the top left, then keep making matches using at least one piece on the conveyor belt with your moves to shift the rune all the way to the end of the belt. It should be 1 space above a treasure chest when you’re done. Have Tim eat the 2 fish by the lever, then the fish on the top by the conveyor belt. Flip the lever to the right, then get Spooky to pick up the 2 treasure chests on the right side. Use the air horn to blow the rune over to its partner, and get the star. Move Spooky to the treasure chest in the middle, which should leave plenty of pathway needing just a bit more building for Tim to reach the last fish. Get Spooky to the last treasure chest on the bottom left corner.
Halves 1 appears after level 14. Save the ice cream in the fancy glasses and the teddy bears for last, as it’s easier to figure out which ones pair up properly if you get all the more obvious stuff done first.
Level 15: Gather the stars, then work your way into the magnet on the top right corner and the air horn on the top left corner. Make sure you clear at least the wood in front of the magnet. Use the magnet to pull a stone to it, then use the air horn to blow the other stone over. Now clear the rest of the wood blocking the magnet in the center, the bottom air horn, and in front of the runes. Use the center magnet to pull the rune out of the right. Blow the rune off the magnet with the bottom air horn. Click on the center magnet twice to flip it to the left. Use the magnet to grab the other rune. It is now aligned with a magnet higher up, which you use to pull the rune up into the same row as its mate. Finally, use the top left air horn to blow the runes together.
Level 16: Work your way into flipping the lever to the right so the spikes go away. Use the air horn to blow the stone next to Tim, cutting off the electricity. Click on the air horn twice to flip it to the right and blow the other stone next to Spooky to cut off the electricity on the right. Gather the stars, then move Tim and Spooky up and then down to their respective items. An interesting trick is that if you have made a complete pathway for a cat to get something, the cat will run over to the item even if you’d accidentally flipped the lever back to the left and spikes would have cut off the pathway (the spikes will come up after the cat has run over a space that would otherwise be spiked).
Level 17: The cats are taking a break again, this time letting you play a “traditional” M3 level. Your goal is simply to clear all the grass tiles from the playfield. Clear all the wood, then use the bottom center magnet to pull a stone out of the center. Use the magnet on the right to pull the stone on the right side down to it, then click on this magnet 3 times to flip it to the left and use it again to pull the stone off the bottom center magnet. Use the bottom center magnet to grab the last stone out of the center. You can take it from here. Don’t forget about the stars.
HOS 3 appears after level 17.
Level 18: Start with breaking the wood on the top left to make getting to the left air horn easier. Use the air horn to blow the stone down (off the magnet). Collect the star from the bottom left corner while charging the magnet there so it moves the stone from the right. Click on the left air horn 3 times to flip it to the right. Use it to blow the stone over to another one on the right. There’s an air horn above the stone you just moved, so use that horn to blow the stone down into the electricity. Get the last star and finish mowing the grass.
Level 19: Use the air horn to blow the stone out of the top violet road. Have the magnet pull the stone from the bottom up, then click the magnet 2 times to flip it up. Use the magnet to grab the last stone out of the top. Go get the stars if you haven’t already, then remove the wood blocking the bottom violet road so Tim goes all the way through it for the fish on the end. Move Tim to the fish at the start of the top violet road and clear the wood in the way so he can get to the last 2 fish.
Level 20: This boss can be sneaky because it moves around, dodging the bombs. Collect the stars first, then toss bombs until you’re done. Even if some of the bombs miss, any matches you make still damage the boss a little, and the boss doesn’t have that many hit points so it still shouldn’t take all that long.
Level 21: This is much easier if you go through the top violet road. Use the 3 magnets to get the stones out of the way, then have Tim eat the fish on the top which leads into the top violet road. Do not eat the fish at the bottom or you’re out of luck and are better off restarting. When Tim exits the top violet road, get the 4 fish by the lever, and the fish next to the violet road on the bottom right. Collect the stars if you haven’t already, and flip the lever to the right. Eat the fish between the spikes, then keep going to the left for the last 2 fish.
Level 22: Tim: “Spooky, why don’t you just eat that fish while you’re getting those treasure chests, and I’ll save you some trouble and get this treasure chest next to me?” Spooky: “Don’t you dare touch my treasure chests. I love the restaurant quality fish I can buy with those funds, and there’s no way I’m eating these cheapie fish which I don’t even know how they’ve come to be lying about the forest!” Well, since Spooky won’t touch that fish, gather the stars first, then get Spooky over to all the chests on the bottom half. Flip the lever on the bottom to the right. Break out the wood so Tim can get to the 5 fish on the top half. Flip the lever on the top to the right. Move Tim and Spooky to the last fish and treasure chest respectively.
Jigsaw puzzle 2 appears after level 22. This is one of those which you need to right click on some pieces to get them to the correct orientation as well as swapping.
Level 23: Get Tim to eat the fish below him at the start and collect the star which got freed. Get the other star in the top center, then use the air horns to blow both stones all the way left. Make matches involving the columns with the keys until the keys have lowered enough to get to the locks and drag the keys into the locks. Remove any wood left blocking fish and eat the fish going from left to right, then up for the last fish. The moves counter is really tight on this one in limited moves, so it’s harder than it looks.
Level 24: Get the stars, then clear the wood working only on that T-shaped conveyor belt closest to Tim. Do not break any of the wood on the conveyor belt at the very top – you must keep all your matches away from that belt altogether or the fish will get stuck. As you break the wood out of the T-belt, the fish will slowly move along until they’re all clustered into the T-belt. Some of the wood boxes will get stuck in between fish, so you’ll have to carefully match around the fish to clear the wood, again without breaking any wood on the topmost belt. When all 7 fish are next to each other in the T-belt, make your pathway to a fish on an end; it doesn’t matter whether it’s the top or bottommost fish and watch Tim go like it’s a fish speed-eating contest. Sure hope he doesn’t feel sick after that!
Level 25: Perhaps Tim does have a bellyache after all, as this is a simple “mow the grass” level. The padlocked pieces can be swapped to move them around. Don’t forget about the stars.
Level 26: Spooky: “Tim, if you even think about touching that treasure chest, I might just get in your face and never let you have that last fish.” Here’s how to prevent a cat fight. Use the 2 air horns to blow the stones out of the violet road Tim’s on. You’ll have to break some of the wood to get good “flow” in order to charge the air horns, but focus more on moving the stones out of the way before breaking the rest of the wood blocking Tim. Tim will stop next to a treasure chest. Have Spooky pick up the treasure chest next to Tim, then the chest on the bottom so Tim isn’t blocked off. Get the stars, then move Tim to the last fish.
HOS 4 appears after level 26 and like HOS 2, a variation on the spot the difference game, playing the same way as HOS 2. Click the 4 things in the left picture which aren’t in the picture on the right (baby pacifier, decorative bow for gifts, balloon, clock). Why Tim wants these things, I don’t know either.
Level 27: Get the stars, then use the magnet and air horn to move 2 stones out of the violet road. Click on the air horn once to flip it to the left and then use it again to blow the last stone out of the way. Clear the rest of the wood in the violet road and finish picking up the rest of the fish.
Level 28: Here’s another level which is impossible if you pick up the treasure chests in the wrong order. Use the magnet which can rotate to move the stone blocking Spooky. While collecting the chests, make sure the chest by the non-rotating magnet is NOT the last one Spooky picks up. Rotate the spinnable magnet to the left and grab the stone off the other magnet. Now use the non-rotating magnet to pull a stone up to it. Flip the rotating magnet to down and grab the last stone from the violet road. Get the star in the water, but do not clear all the wood out of the violet road just yet so Tim will stop somewhere and let you get the last star. Move Tim to the fish at the start of the violet road so you can reach the star. Finish breaking the wood. This one’s extremely difficult to 3 star in limited moves and will probably take a few tries just to finish because the moves counter is so tight along with a replay for a missing star because the star above Tim is a serious matter of luck.
Level 29: Use the rotating magnet to grab the rune below Tim. Then have the air horn at the left blow the rune onto the conveyor belt at the right. Move the rune all the way up the belt, gathering the star in the top right while you’re at it. Use the non-rotating magnet to pull the rune next to the fish; get the star on the top left while charging the magnet. Use the air horn on the bottom to blow the runes together. Flip the rotating magnet to the left and grab the stone blocking the treasure chest. Flip the rotating magnet up and move the stone blocking Tim. Lead Tim to the fish. Get Spooky to pick up the 3 chests on the left before going into the middle section for the last chest.
Level 30: Get the stars first, but otherwise play just like the other battles you’ve already done where you focus on tossing the bombs and it should be pretty easy.
Level 31: Look closely at the hedges and you’ll see either a blue or orange outline of where everything else is hidden. Prune the hedges by matching next to them until the hidden object appears; there is only 1 item per set of hedges except the one on the top right, where both a fish and treasure chest are hidden. You don’t need to remove every single bush. I just prune until all the hidden objects are visible and then lead Tim and Spooky as usual to their respective items while getting the stars whenever it’s convenient.
Halves #2 appears after level 31. Save the muffins and ice cream cups for last. If you’re confused over the makeup containers, the matching pairs of the lipstick and nail polish each have at least a smidgen of the same color in each half.
Level 32: Get the stars, then free the lower left lever and flip it to the right. Eat the fish at the top left, then the fish in the center. Free the bottom center lever and flip it to the right. Go get the last fish.
Level 33: The switcher is introduced here. Lighting or extinguishing the fire in the cup by making a match next to it makes all conveyor belts switch running direction. The start of a conveyor belt is the pink square, so if you can’t remember which way a belt is running, look for the pink square as everything moves away from the pink square. Toggling the fire on or off makes the pink square change ends. A white line moving one way or another also appears for a little while to show you how the belt is running, but I find the pink square method easier to use. Get the stars, then eat the 2 fish on the left side. Remove the wood around the cup and match next to it to light the fire. Match on the conveyor belt to move the fish to the left and get Tim to eat it. Now match by the cup to extinguish the fire and match on the conveyor belt again until Tim has moved all the way to the other end and eat the last fish.
Level 34: Break all the wood in the columns with the stars, then use the magnets to pull the stones to them. Gather the stars, then use the magnet on the bottom left to pull a stone into the teleport. It will be surrounded by wood when it exits the teleport. Break the wood on the stone’s right. Now use the top right magnet to pull the stone into the electricity so Tim can eat the fish.
Level 35: Use the bottom left magnet in the default (right) orientation to move the stone. It will be aligned with another magnet 3 spaces above; use this magnet to pull the stone to it. Use the air horn to blow the stone onto the conveyor belt at the left. Collect the star from the bottom right. Move the stone all the way to the end of the conveyor belt. Click on the bottom left magnet 3 times to flip it up. Use it to pull the stone into the electricity. Eat the 2 fish on the top, then one on the bottom so you can get the last star before eating the last fish.
Jigsaw puzzle 3 appears after level 35. Yeah Tim, you just wouldn’t understand about pizza or whipped cream and fruit, but I don’t think you’re supposed to eat dairy anyway because it’ll make you sick.
Level 36: Zigzag through the 2 fish in the middle and the 2 fish on the top row while gathering the stars as they become available. Try not to trip the magnets just yet. Eat the 2 fish in the center, which will put Tim onto the violet road. Use the top left magnet to pull the stone up to it. Then use the air horn to blow the stone off. Use the top right magnet to grab the next stone, then use the air horn to blow that off too. Use both magnets again to pull the remaining stones out of the violet road. This one’s tricky to do in limited moves because the counter is rather tight.
Level 37: Lead Tim to the 4 fish which are easy to reach on the left side (far left, top left, left center, bottom left corner above the pink square). Pick one of the magnets and use it to pull a stone up to it. This frees up the pink square more, so match over the pink square and eat the fish which was below it. Eat the 2 fish on the bottom. Have Spooky pick up the 3 chests on the top right and get the stars. Collect the 2 chests on the bottom right corner. Match over the pink square in the bottom right. Pick up the 2 chests on the bottom. Matching over the pink square in the center is optional, but does make reaching the last fish and chest a bit easier; otherwise just move either Tim or Spooky depending on who has an easier path to their final item, then move the other cat.
Level 38: Get through the wood on the left to reach the grass on the bottom left and the lever on the top left. Flip the lever to the right. Work your way through the wood on the top right to reach the lever there. Flip the top right lever to the right. Mow the grass in the bottom right corner. Get both stars and clear the remaining grass.
Level 39: Figure out which matches will remove the most brick walls starting from the left side and then just work your way around the board from left to right eating whatever fish is the closest with the most efficient wall-breaking moves. You can’t match through the walls. Don’t forget the stars while you’re at it.
Level 40: This boss takes longer to beat than any of the previous ones, but the tactics you used on the earlier battle levels work all the same. Spooky will give you more fish than before, but focus on the stars and bombs.
Level 41: Use the center air horn to blow the yellow rune down. Then use the bottom right air horn to blow the yellow runes together. Collect the star on the bottom right while working on this. The star behind the yellow runes will be freed, so get that next. Click on the center air horn once to flip it to the left and blow the red rune over to its partner. Click on the bottom right air horn to flip it up, then use it to blow the green rune up. Use the air horn on the top left to blow the green runes together and everything is now reachable. Who you move first depends only on who’s got the best matches around them or their target items. Collect all of whatever that cat wants and then there should be plenty of existing pathway to connect the other cat to their stuff.
HOS 5 appears after level 41.
Level 42: Collect the stars. Get the bottom right magnet to pull the stone down (it will hit a wall). Use the magnet in the 3rd column from the left to grab the stone. Break the wood around the magnet on the bottom left and use it to pull the stone down. Click the bottom right magnet 3 times so it’s flipped to the left and use it to pull the stone into the electricity. Eat the fish on the bottom left which just got freed. Break the wood by the fish which is next to the other electric field and eat that fish. Use the bottom right magnet to pull the stone all the way over to the magnet. At the top is a magnet which you’ll need to pull the stone up under the fish. Finally, use the magnet on the same row Tim’s on to move the stone into the electricity so Tim can get the last fish.
Level 43: Remove all the wood in the columns blocking the keys and break out at least an access point to the stars and fish elsewhere. Gather the star from the bottom left corner. Use the air horn to blow the stone to the left; it may help to have Tim eat the fish in the top center first so the air horn will be easier to charge. Move both keys to their locks. Click on the air horn until it’s facing down and blow the stone away from the star so you can get the star. Eat all the fish in the center and then go for the ones on the left.
Level 44: Clear all the wood in the way of the key and put the key into the lock. Have the magnet pull a stone over to it, then use the left air horn to blow another stone into the electricity. Use the air horn on the top to blow the last stone down out of the violet road. Move Tim through the first violet road by clearing out the wood in the way. Get the star below the remaining violet road, then move Tim through the road by eating the fish on the end and breaking the wood. Eat the fish above the star, then move Tim to one of the other fish while you collect the star and then get the last fish.
Level 45:
More straightforward but tricky way to do this. This is hard because it’s tough to move that yellow rune on the conveyor belt to just the correct location.
1) Get the stars.
2) Move the yellow rune on the conveyor belt right 4 spaces, then up 3 spaces. Don’t let it go any higher!
3) Use the bottom right air horn to blow the yellow runes together.
4) Move the green rune all the way up the conveyor belt.
5) Use the top left air horn to blow the green runes together.
If the yellow rune moves too far up the conveyor belt, the longer but easier to accomplish way is:
1) Get stars.
2) Move the green rune all the way up the conveyor belt.
3) Break all the wood on the conveyor belt at the left so the yellow rune goes all the way up.
4) Use the top left air horn to blow the yellow rune next to the green one.
5) Have the magnet pull the yellow rune down to it.
6) Use the air horn on the bottom right to blow the yellow runes together.
7) Use the top left air horn to blow the green runes together.
Level 46: Break the wood blocking the 3 cannons and then charge whichever one’s got the best matches by it until you can get to all the stars and fish. Switch around between the cannons as the pieces shuffle about. This one’s a matter of patience.
Level 47: The cats decided they didn’t want to deal with this one, so left you to figure it out. The following isn’t the only way to do it; so long as you don’t accidentally move a stone into a grassy area before all the grass has been cleared, you can do the different sections in any order.
1) Collect stars.
2) Rotate center magnet to left and pull the stone out of the grass on the left. Clear all the grass tiles on the left.
3) Rotate center magnet to up and pull a stone from the top section.
4) Use the air horn on the right to blow the stone off the magnet.
5) Use the top right corner air horn to blow another stone into the spot where the stone in step 3 was.
6) Pull the stone down with the center magnet.
7) Use the top right corner air horn to blow the last stone out of the grass in the top. Mow all the grass in the top.
8) Rotate the center magnet to down and pull a stone up from the bottom.
9) Rotate the bottom right magnet to left and pull the last stone from the bottom grassy area. Clear out the grass on the bottom.
10) Rotate the bottom right magnet to up and grab a stone from the grassy area on the right.
11) This step’s optional, but helps: Use the air horn on the right to blow the top stone off the center magnet so you have more space for charging the magnet.
12) Rotate the center magnet to right and pull the last stone from the grass on the right side. Finish clearing the grass.
Jigsaw puzzle 4 appears after level 47. This is one where you have to use the right mouse button to rotate pieces along with the left mouse button to swap pieces around.
Level 48: Tim: “Come on, Spooky, can’t you at least try some of those free fish?” Spooky: “No! And stop staring at that treasure chest over there!” Get the star on the right. Use the top right magnet to move a stone next to a treasure chest. The stone will be aligned with an air horn, which you use to blow the stone down. Get the bottom right magnet to pull the stone into the electricity. Move Spooky down and to the left to pick up 5 treasure chests. Clear out the wood blocking the key and remove the lock. Move Tim down and to the right eating all the fish. Get the last star when it’s freed. Spooky can finally go get that last chest.
Level 49: There’s a stone which is immovable, so the way to not get hopelessly stuck is to get the stars, then use the 2 air horns to blow stones out of the way. Remove all the wood from the violet roads. Have Tim eat the fish on the left side of the lowest violet road, which will get him to the right side of the board. Eat the fish on the right side of the middle violet road to get back to the left, and finally eat the fish on the left side of the top violet road.
Level 50: Move Tim to the closest bomb so you can get the star which was behind him, then get the other star while you’re working on throwing more bombs.
Level 51: Lead Spooky to the chest on the right, then break the wood by the orange-pink square in the bottom right and match over the square. Get Spooky to the chest in the top center before the walls close back up (within 7 moves) and if possible, get the star in the right center too, as the walls will otherwise block it. If you can’t reach the star, clear some of the wood at the bottom to make the fish and chest in that area easier to reach later. Get Tim to eat the fish on the left, then the bottom. Trip the orange-pink square on the bottom right again to let Tim up into the top center for the fish there, and over to the top right fish. This will take a little more finagling with the bottom right orange-pink square to get the walls to go away. Get the right center star if you haven’t already. Now get an access point into the orange-pink square on the bottom left and match over it to drop the walls in the center left. Get the other star, then lead Spooky to the chest on the left and finally down for the last chest. Match over the bottom left orange-pink square again if needed to let the walls back down.
Level 52:
1) Get the stars.
2) Get through the wood to reach the cup and light the fire by matching next to the cup.
3) Move the stone on the conveyor belt in the upper right all the way to the end of the belt.
4) Use the magnet to grab the stone.
5) Break the wood in the column blocking Tim from the conveyor belt closest to him and move the fish on it all the way to the end so it ends up 6 spaces below Tim. Eat the fish.
6) Extinguish the fire by matching next to the cup.
7) Move Tim to the other end of the conveyor belt he’s on.
8) Light the fire. Move the fish in the central belt all the way to the end so it’s closest to Tim.
9) Eat the fish on the central belt.
10) Extinguish the fire. Move Tim to the other end of the central conveyor belt.
11) Light the fire. Move the fish on the upper right conveyor belt to the end and get Tim to it.
12) Extinguish the fire and move Tim to the other end of the conveyor belt.
13) Eat the last fish.
Level 53: The moves counter is very tight in limited moves, so may take a few tries to finish, much less 3 star.
1) Get the star on the left.
2) Use the rotating magnet in the up position to pull a stone down to it. Get the star on the top.
3) Rotate the magnet to down and grab another stone.
4) Break through the wood by the cup and light the fire.
5) Move the fish up on the conveyor belt to get it out of the pathway of the lower right magnet and stone. Break the wood boxes in the violet roads.
6) Get an access point to the lower right magnet and use it to pull the last stone out of the violet road.
7) Eat the fish at the left of the top violet road, which will put Tim into the top center.
8) Eat the 2 fish on the right side.
9) Extinguish the fire and move the fish back to the bottom of the conveyor belt so Tim can get to it and eat the fish.
Halves #3 appears after level 53. Take your time with it and it’s not too terrible.
Level 54: Work your way into the stars and getting the area around the magnet to populate. Flip the magnet into the left, right, and up orientations to pull stones out of the grassy areas. You can do the rest.
Level 55: Use the magnet in the top right to pull the stone up underneath a fish. Next, use the lower left magnet to pull the stone leftwards next to another fish. Blow the stone into the teleport with the air horn. Have the top center magnet pull the stone into the electricity. Eat the fish by the star, then move to another fish and get the stars before eating the last fish.
Level 56:
1) Use the magnet in the center that’s facing rightwards to grab a stone.
2) Use the magnet on the bottom to pull the stone down.
3) Blow the stone next to Tim with the lower right air horn to stop the electricity.
4) Use the center magnet from step 1 again to move the other stone away from the star. Get the star.
5) Use the magnet up top to move the stone up.
6) Use the air horn on the top left to blow the stone next to Spooky, cutting off the electricity.
7) Have Spooky pick up all the treasure chests, but make sure the one by the star is NOT the last one collected, otherwise it’s impossible to get the star.
8) Get the last star. There’s plenty of pathway leftover to simply fill in the gaps for Tim to reach the 2 fish.
Level 57: Spooky: “Tim, how come I have to break out the wood just for you to get your lousy fish?” Tim: “Because I have to break the wood for you to get your treasure chest!” Spooky: “How come your other lousy fish are blocking my treasure chests?”… Clear the wood closest to Spooky and lead Spooky to the chest on the right. Get the star from the top right which Spooky had blocked before. Have Tim eat the fish on the top left. Collect the star which Tim had blocked earlier. Break the wood and eat the fish on the top center left. Move Tim down for another fish and over to the right for the last 3 fish. There’s now a good bit of pathway left to hook up to the chests for Spooky.
Level 58: Guess the cats have taken their bickering from level 57 elsewhere for this level. [wink]
1) Get the star from the top left.
2) Remove all the wood in the 2nd row from the bottom along with all the wood underneath the rotating magnet.
3) Use the bottom right magnet to move the stone away from the yellow rune.
4) Blow the stone down 1 space with the air horn above.
5) Use the bottom right magnet to pull the yellow rune over to it. Get the star which has just been freed.
6) Use the rotating magnet in the down orientation to pull the yellow rune up.
7) Remove the wood which is immediately below the air horn in the center because you need the other rune to go into that space later. Now use the center air horn to blow the stone down farther.
8) Flip the rotating magnet to the left and use it to pull the yellow rune to the space underneath the center air horn.
9) Use the center air horn to blow the yellow rune down.
10) Use the bottom right magnet to grab the yellow rune.
11) Use the air horn up top to blow the runes together.
Jigsaw puzzle 5 appears after level 58.
Level 59: Gather the stars, then use the rotating air horn in the up, down, and right orientations to blow 3 stones out of the violet road working on moving one stone at a time. Lead Tim to the fish on the top left by the violet road and clear any wood left in the road so he goes all the way around. Finish eating the rest of the fish.
Tim’s Hideout should be close to finished by this point, if you haven’t completed it already.
Level 60: Get the stars first, then play it like all the other battles you’ve done before. This boss takes a little while to beat. Tip: if you don’t have a bomb on the playfield, try making a bigger match somewhere to inflict a little more damage on the boss as bigger matches take off a few more hit points than a simple 3 match.
Level 61:
1) Use the magnet to pull a stone off the conveyor belts.
2) Blow the stone off the magnet with the air horn.
3) Make matches involving the conveyor belt space below the other stone on the conveyor belts so it moves down and aligns with the magnet.
4) Grab the stone off the belt with the magnet.
5) Light the fire. Move the bottom left fish to the end of the conveyor belt.
6) Eat the fish below the star, eat the fish on the conveyor belt you moved in step 5, and get the star which just got freed.
7) Get the star below the conveyor belt.
8) Extinguish the fire. Move the fish on the other conveyor belt down to the end so it’s touching the violet road.
9) Move Tim along the conveyor belt he’s on and he’ll automatically run through the violet road too and eat the fish.
10) Go get the last 2 fish.
Level 62:
1) Get the stars.
2) Have Spooky collect the chest in the center right, then go up for the chest at the top.
3) Break the wood by the orange-pink square on the bottom right and match over the square.
4) Get Spooky to the chest that just got freed before the walls close back up.
5) If possible, try to get Spooky to the chest on the bottom, but if you can’t, just let the walls close around Spooky for now.
6) Use the existing pathways to link Tim to the accessible fish. There’s still one behind the walls at the top.
7) If Spooky is stuck behind the walls at the top, match over the bottom right orange-pink square again and get Spooky to the chest on the bottom, then the chest at the left. Otherwise, just go get the last chest.
8) Use the existing pathways to link up as close to the last fish behind the walls as you can.
9) Break the wood by the orange-pink square in the bottom left and match over that square.
10) Finish connecting the pathway for the last fish.
Level 63:
1) Collect the stars.
2) Light the fire. Move the fish up on the conveyor belt so it’s out of the way of the stones and magnet.
3) Charge the leftward-facing magnet to about 75%, but do not trip it yet.
4) Clear the wood blocking the orange-pink square at the bottom and match over the orange-pink square.
5) Now trigger the leftward magnet so the stone is pulled all the way to the magnet.
6) Use the magnet on the bottom right to move the stone off the leftward magnet.
7) Charge the leftward magnet most of the way again, but don’t trip it yet.
8) Match over the orange-pink square to drop the walls again.
9) Trip the leftward magnet to pull another stone to it.
10) Use the air horn to blow the stone off the bottom right magnet.
11) Have the bottom right magnet grab the stone off the leftward magnet.
12) Now use the leftward magnet to move the last stone out of the violet road.
13) Eat the fish on the left and break all the wood in the violet road so Tim goes to the top.
14) Extinguish the fire and move the fish down the conveyor belt so it’s next to the violet road.
15) Eat the fish on the left side of the violet road.
Halves #4 appears after level 63. The bigger pineapple goes with the bigger set of leaves, and there’s a pair where one of the strawberries is cut as compared to the other pair of whole strawberries. Use the lighter color of one teddy bear to find the matching halves and the shirt another teddy bear’s wearing to match those. A third teddy bear has a more obvious checkered ribbon around its neck.
Level 64: Tim (singing one of kids tunes from my childhood years): “I’m Popeye the sailor man/I live in a garbage can/I turned on the gas/and burned off my a**…” Don’t play with fire. Seriously, just don’t touch that switcher cup or you’ll be going around in circles trying to line everything back up and are most likely better off restarting.
1) Flip the rotating magnet to the right and move the stone out of the violet road.
2) In the 7th column from the left is a fish which you need to move all the way up to the end of the conveyor belt.
3) Flip the rotating magnet to the left and move the stone from the violet road.
4) Break the wood in the violet road blocking Tim so he goes to the end.
5) Eat the 2 fish in the center without lighting the fire. Tim will run through the violet road and go into the middle of the playfield 4 spaces from the rotating magnet. Clear any wood in his way if needed.
6) Get the fish at the right of the small violet road a little bit lower to eat the fish at the other end.
7) Eat the fish at the left of the small violet road on the bottom and clear the wood to get the fish on the other end. Get the star from the bottom.
8) Break the wood in the violet road on the right side and collect the star on the right. Eat the fish at the bottom of the road to get Tim to the top.
9) Go get the fish on the right of the last violet road and break the wood.
In a sign of true mental devolvement, I now have the “beans, beans” tune going in my head.
Level 65: This one’s a matter of working out from the center, breaking the brick walls with matches as you go along wherever there’s matches to keep clearing walls. Clear just enough of the wood to get the bottom right corner to populate. Don’t forget about the stars as they get freed.
Level 66: Both cats are now so scared of the Blades of Death that if you move them the wrong way, the level’s impossible to finish.
1) Use the rotating air horn at the top left to blow the yellow rune down to a fish.
2) Use the air horn immediately above Tim (the one that’s 5 spaces from the bottom in the 2nd column from the left) to blow the yellow runes together.
3) Get the star on the right.
4) Have Spooky collect the 2 chests just above the water in the middle, then move Spooky to the chest by the red rune. Leave Spooky there for now. If you accidentally get the chests in some other order and Spooky is NOT by the red rune, you’re going to have to restart, sorry!
5) Use the magnet on the bottom to pull the red rune down.
6) Use the air horn in the bottom left corner to blow the red runes together.
7) Flip the rotating air horn in the top left to the right and blow the green rune so it lands next to Spooky.
8) Get the star which was just freed.
9) Use the bottom magnet to pull the green rune down.
10) Use the bottom left corner air horn to blow the green runes together.
11) Have Tim eat all the fish, then get Spooky to the last chest.
Level 67: This one’s pretty easy. Clear the wood and start mowing grass while you’re working on busting the rest of the wood until you can reach everything easily. Once you have a wood-free pathway for the stones to be blown away from the grassy area, use the air horns to move the stones off the grass.
Jigsaw puzzle 6 appears after level 67. This is both a right click rotate and left click swap one.
Level 68: Move the magnets near the center of the playfield on their respective conveyor belts. Get them both to pick up a stone. Light the fire. Shift the left magnet all the way to the other end of the conveyor belt and use it to grab the last stone from the bottom. Break the wood, gather the stars, and finish mowing the grass.
Level 69:
1) Move the magnet all the way down the conveyor belt and then use it to move the stone next to the fish.
2) Use the top right magnet to pull the stone up.
3) Light the fire. Carefully move the magnet up until it’s aligned with the stone blocking the star on the right. Pull the stone away from the star. If the magnet goes up too far, skip the star for now and go to step 4.
4) Move the magnet all the way up the conveyor belt and pull the stone into the electricity with it.
5) If you didn’t manage to move the stone blocking the star on the right earlier, extinguish the fire and carefully move the magnet back down to align it with the stone and grab it. Get the star. This may take a bit of finagling with the fire on or off to get the magnet in the right location.
6) Get Tim to the fish in the top left corner and collect the last star before eating the rest of the fish.
Level 70: Fancyfur takes a while to beat, but the usual method of playing battle levels works all the same. Don’t forget about the stars. Even though you get more fish, continue to focus on throwing bombs. Why Fancyfur appears unchanged in the storyline dialog after this, I don’t know.
Level 71:
1) Break the wood on the lower violet road. Tim will run up to the stone and stop; leave him there for now and finish clearing all the wood on that road.
2) Use the magnet on the bottom to grab a stone from near the top.
3) Move the top right magnet all the way down the conveyor belt and use it to move the stone blocking Tim so the stone ends up by the fish.
4) Use the air horn to blow the stone off the bottom magnet.
5) Now get the bottom magnet to pull the stone blocking Tim down so he will eat the fish.
6) Eat the 2 fish blocking the stars, then eat the fish just above the water a little higher up. Do NOT eat the fish by the upper violet road yet!
7) Collect the stars.
8) Blow the stone off the bottom magnet with the air horn.
9) Break through the wood by the cup and light the fire.
10) Move the magnet all the way up on the conveyor belt. Use it to move the stone on the upper violet road so the stone is next to the fish on the right.
11) Use the bottom magnet to get the stone out of the way.
12) Eat the fish to the right of the violet road.
Level 72: That flippin’ lever, LOL!
1) Move Spooky to the chest on the top right.
2) Clear the wood by the lever and flip the lever to the right.
3) Lead Spooky to the chest in the top center.
4) Get the star on the top right.
5) This next part’s tricky. You must start making a pathway from the chest on the far left and if possible, the chest at the bottom (use the fish on the bottom center to help with lighting up some spaces). If you don’t have any matches on the bottom center, work on building the pathway from the far left chest only and get it as close to the spikes on the right as possible. This is important because the spikes will cut off the top left section and not allow you to build the pathway in the next step, so you have to set it up beforehand. Make sure the lighted spaces you make from the far left chest are under the spaces where the spikes will emerge.
6) Flip the lever to the left. Get Spooky to the chests on the bottom and the far left, but make sure you get that chest on the left before the pathway un-lights.
7) Begin making a pathway for Tim leading down to the spikes below him.
8) Flip the lever to the right. Move Tim to the bottom left fish and Spooky to the last chest on the top left.
9) Get the last star.
10) Flip the lever to the left. Lead Tim to the 2 fish in the central area.
11) Flip the lever to the right. Eat the fish on the top right.
12) Flip the lever to the left and get the last fish on the bottom right. Yikes.
Level 73:
1) Use the top center magnet to pull the red rune up.
2) Blow the red runes together with the top right air horn. Get the stars above the air horn while you’re at it.
3) Use the top center magnet to move the yellow rune up.
4) Use the lower left magnet to grab the green rune.
5) Blow the green runes together with the top left air horn.
6) Use the bottom center magnet to pull the yellow rune back down where it used to be.
7) Blow the yellow runes together with the bottom right air horn.
HOS 6 appears after level 73.
Level 74:
1) Get an access point to both levers at the bottom right.
2) Flip the left lever to the right and move Tim and Spooky to a fish and chest in the section which opened.
3) Get the stars.
4) Flip the right lever to the right which opens up the rest of the center and get the 2 chests and 2 fish such that Tim and Spooky end up next to the spikes on the right.
5) Flip both levers back to the left and get the last chest and fish.
Level 75:
1) Get the star from the left center. This should make some pathway by the chest.
2) Start making a bit of pathway by Spooky.
3) Break through the wood by the orange-pink square on the bottom left and match over the square.
4) Connect the pathway between Spooky and the treasure chest in the top center before the walls close.
5) Break through the wood by the orange-pink square on the top right but don’t match the square yet.
6) Start building some pathway from the bottom center chest.
7) Match over the top right orange-pink square and lead Spooky to the bottom center chest before the walls close.
8) Make some pathway from the bottom center fish and also where Tim is leading towards the bottom center fish.
9) Match over the orange-pink square in the bottom left to drop the walls and finish the pathway between Tim and the bottom center fish.
10) Get the last star.
11) Begin building pathway from the last fish going downwards to the water.
12) Match over the orange-pink square in the top right. Finish the pathway between Tim and the last fish.
Level 76: Get the stars, then light the fire. Move the fish and chest on their respective conveyor belts all the way left and have Tim and Spooky pick up the items. Extinguish the fire and move both cats to the other end of the conveyors. Get the last fish and chest.
Level 77:
1) Break all the wood in the U-shaped conveyor belt on the left. Move the stone all the way to the top of the belt. The chest and fish will be below it.
2) Break all the wood by Spooky and on the other conveyor belt at the right.
3) Use the magnet on the right to pull the stone off the U-shaped conveyor belt.
4) Light the fire. Move the chest which is on the right conveyor belt all the way up and lead Spooky to it.
5) Get the star in the top right.
6) Extinguish the fire. Move Spooky to the other end of the conveyor belt.
7) Lead Spooky to the chest on the top – NOT the one on the U-shaped conveyor belt – then have Spooky pick up the chest on the U-belt. If you do it backwards, you’ll have to restart!
8) Get the last star. Light the fire.
9) Make a pathway from the chest in the “island” leading to the conveyor belt. Move Spooky along the conveyor belt until he runs up to the chest. I don’t actually know if Spooky is male or female, so sorry Spooky if I got it wrong!
10) Keep moving the fish along the conveyor belt until it’s all the way at the end.
11) Have Tim eat the fish on the belt.
12) Extinguish the fire. Move Tim all the way to the other end of the conveyor belt.
13) Eat the last fish.
Jigsaw puzzle 7 appears after level 77. Figuring out where all the foliage pieces go is hard, but that’s my favorite end caption!
Level 78:
1) Have Tim eat all the fish going exactly from leftmost to rightmost. This keeps him from blocking off things later. Try not to trip any of the gadgets while you’re doing this. Tim should be on the far right when he’s done.
2) Get the star from the bottom while you’re working on moving Tim.
3) Blow the green runes together using the top center air horn.
4) Use both the magnets to grab the yellow runes.
5) Blow the yellow runes together with the bottom right air horn.
6) Get the star which just got freed. Lead Spooky to the chest.
Level 79: Tim [thinking]: “Maybe Spooky has the right idea with buying fish instead of going through all this.”
1) Charge the top right air horn to about 75%, but don’t trip it yet.
2) Break the wood to reach the orange-pink square in the bottom right and match over the square.
3) Finish charging the top right air horn so it blows the yellow runes together before the walls close.
4) Get the star on the bottom right.
5) Rotate the bottom left air horn to up and blow the red runes together.
6) Rotate the bottom left air horn to the right and rotate the top right air horn to down.
7) Charge both air horns to about 75%, but don’t set them off.
8) Break the wood around the orange-pink square on the far left and match over the square.
9) Finish charging both air horns to blow the green runes together before the walls close.
10) You can probably eat the fish in whatever order you’d like so long as you leave at least one fish around after you get the one blocking the star so you can pick up the star afterwards. But I go to the top left corner fish and work my way across from there.
Level 80: Like the Fancyfur battle before, the Witch also takes a while to beat because she moves around a lot, but you can still play it like any other battle and should be fine as long as you bought all the parts available in Tim’s Hideout. Eat a few fish if the heart is much below 50%. A fair bit of the damage you do will be from matches alone, since at least 30% of bombs thrown will miss, so go for bigger matches whenever possible.
Level 81: Use the air horn to move the stone next to the raised spikes. The stone will sit atop another space which has spikes and keep those from coming out later. Next, clear out enough wood to be able to reach all the fish, the lever, and the spot next to the raised spikes. Flip the lever to the right. Blow the stone out of the way with the air horn. Eat the 2 fish blocking the stars, then one of the others on the right side. Collect both stars, then eat the rest of the fish.
Level 82:
1) Break the wood to Tim’s right.
2) Move the magnet all the way to the right on the conveyor belt. Grab the stone blocking Tim.
3) Tim will eat a fish and can reach all the others now, but it’s the stars which are tricky.
4) Clear the wood by the cup and light the fire.
5) Move the magnet all the way left on the conveyor belt.
6) Pull the stone away from the upper star, then flip the magnet to the left and pull the stone away from the bottom left corner star.
7) Get those stars, then go for the fish.
Level 83:
1) Clear the wood to access the lever on the bottom right. Flip the lever to the right.
2) Use the magnet to move the stone next to the spikes on the left.
3) Collect the stars.
4) Break the wood by the bottom center lever and flip that lever to the right.
5) Use the magnet to pull the stone out of the way.
6) Eat the 2 accessible fish.
7) Flip the bottom center lever back to the left.
8) Eat the last fish.
Level 84: This one’s hard because if Spooky picks up the chests too soon or in the wrong order, it’s impossible to complete. It can also be tough to get the fish on the top right.
1) Get Tim to eat the 2 fish in the top corners. The one on the top right can be a real pain to reach, so you may want to try restarting the board if your pathway isn’t staying lit due to not having enough good moves available.
2) Pick up the star on the top right.
3) Move the key into the lock.
4) Lead Spooky to the chest in the bottom center which is 2 spaces above the magnet. Important: Do NOT extend the pathway over to the chest on the left! That chest needs to stay there for now. If Spooky accidentally gets the left chest, you’ll have to restart.
5) Charge the magnet below Spooky from the right side of it or by using only the spot above the magnet with your matches so the pathway around Spooky won’t grow towards the left. Spooky needs to stay in place. This will pull the stone above into the teleport.
6) Use the magnet on the bottom left corner to move the stone blocking the bottom right star. It will land next to the chest. Do not match by the chest because Spooky still needs to stay in place.
7) Get the bottom right star.
8) Use the magnet on the top row to move the stone up under a fish.
9) Use the air horn to blow the stone into the electricity at the left.
10) Move Tim to the 2 fish on the left which just got freed, then have him eat the fish in the center area.
11) Use the magnet next to the electricity on the right to pull a stone into that electricity.
12) Lead Tim to the last fish.
13) Spooky can finally go get that last chest!
Jigsaw puzzle 8 appears after level 84. This is a rotate and swap one.
Level 85: Spooky: “Tim, your lousy fish is in my way again!” Tim: “If you’d be willing to eat it, I wouldn’t be keeping you from those treasure chests!” Spooky: “If I did, you’d be stuck here forever, so shut up and eat those cheapie fish already!” This is another case of if you don’t pick up stuff in the right order, it’s impossible to finish.
1) Clear a way into the cup and light the fire.
2) Move the fish all the way to the left of the conveyor belt at the top.
3) Get Tim to eat the fish on the belt.
4) Extinguish the fire. Move Tim all the way to the other end of the belt so he and the chest are all the way on the right with no spaces in between.
5) Move Tim to the fish by the star, then to the center fish which is near the conveyor belt he exited.
6) Get the star on the right.
7) Light the fire. Move the chest on the top conveyor belt all the way left.
8) Lead Spooky to the chest.
9) Extinguish the fire. Move Spooky all the way to the right side of the conveyor belt.
10) Get Spooky to the chest on the top right by the star, then the chest a bit lower which is between the water.
11) Get the top right star.
12) Have Spooky pick up the chest on the bottom right which is on the far right column.
13) Light the fire. Move the chest on the lower conveyor belt all the way right.
14) Get Spooky to the chest.
15) Extinguish the fire. Move Spooky and the fish on the belt all the way left so there are no spaces between Spooky and the fish.
16) Spooky can now pick up the last chest in the center.
17) Light the fire. Move the fish on the conveyor belt all the way back to the right.
18) Lead Tim to the fish.
19) Extinguish the fire. Move Tim left on the belt until he has an access point to the center.
20) Have Tim eat the last fish in the center. Whew!
Level 86: Tim: “I’m starting to wish I could bum some of the coins off those treasure chests to buy myself some fish instead.”
1) Flip the magnet on the right to up. Use it to pull the stone away from the star above.
2) Get the star from the top right corner.
3) Flip the magnet on the right to left. Grab a stone out of the violet road.
4) Use the air horn on the bottom to blow the stone off the magnet.
5) Use the magnet on the right to pull another stone out of the violet road.
6) Use the rotating air horn in the center facing to the right to blow a stone out of the violet road.
7) Flip the rotating air horn to the left and blow another stone out of the violet road.
8) Use the air horn in the top row to blow a stone down so it lands above a fish.
9) Break the wood in the 3rd row from the top so the last stone in the violet road has a clear pathway to the magnet in the top left.
10) Use the top left magnet to grab the last stone out of the violet road.
11) Eat the fish by the star, and go up the violet road for another fish. Important: Do NOT make a pathway to the fish in the center area next to the U-shaped violet road or you’ll have to restart!
12) Get the star.
13) Eat the fish on the top center leading into that zigzag sort of violet road on the left. Go through the road to get to the fish at the other end.
14) Go around to the fish in the center which you had to leave in step 11 and run through the last violet road.
Level 87:
1) Get the stars.
2) Clear all the wood by the upper right magnet. Use it to pull the green rune over to the magnet.
3) Move the green rune down with the lower right magnet.
4) Blow the green rune off the magnet with the air horn on the right.
5) Use the air horn on the left to blow the other green rune to the right.
6) Use the lower right magnet to pull the green rune down.
7) Blow the green runes together with the air horn on the right.
8) Remove all the wood to the right of both yellow runes.
9) Use the upper right magnet to move the upper yellow rune over to the magnet.
10) Use the lower right magnet to move the yellow rune down.
11) Blow the yellow runes together with the lower right air horn.
Level 88:
1) Get an access point to the lever on the bottom right and flip the lever to the right.
2) Get an access point to the air horn which is 6 rows up from the bottom and use it to blow the stone into the water just under the spikes.
3) Remove the wood around the lever in the center and flip the lever to the right.
4) Clear some space around the top right air horn and use it to blow the stone over to the other one.
5) Flip both levers to the left.
6) Clear out room by the 2 air horns on the bottom row. Use the rightmost one at the bottom to blow the stone out of the formerly spiked area.
7) Move Tim to the fish in the top center. Be careful not to flip the levers back while making your pathway!
8) Remove the wood by the top left corner fish.
9) Use the leftmost air horn on the bottom row to blow the stone away from the star.
10) Get both stars.
11) There’s likely some pathway around the top left corner fish from working on the stars, so eat the top left fish next.
12) Eat the last fish in the other corner.
Level 89: The cats are still bickering over who has what in the other’s way…
1) There are 3 fish Tim can reach at the start. Have Tim eat them in this order: top center above the water, bottom center next to the conveyor belt, top left center to the right of the water. If you do it in some other order, you’ll have to restart!
2) Get the stars.
3) Work your way into the cup at the bottom right and light the fire.
4) Move the treasure chest all the way up and around the conveyor belt so it ends up immediately above Spooky.
5) Lead Spooky to the chest.
6) Extinguish the fire and move Spooky all the way to the other end of the conveyor belt.
7) Get Spooky to pick up the closest chest, then the last one on the right.
8) There should be some pathway left over to connect to the last 2 fish for Tim.
Level 90: The final battle! If you haven’t completed Tim’s Hideout yet, make sure you go to the Hideout via the Menu button and buy anything you haven’t already. Then do the usual battle thing and eventually Sharpspit will be defeated. You’ll want to eat some fish here and there because Sharpspit attacks you directly quite often and he’s got a ton of hit points, so it takes a while, but otherwise throw bombs as often as you can.
——
Spooky: “Tim, I’m scared.”
Tim: “Why?”
Spooky: “Well, Sharpspit took all the treasure back, but we spent some to build our hideout. I don’t think we can go back there again because he’s probably hanging out there waiting for us now. And I was buying all those fish for myself too.”
Tim: “I’m so sorry we were sniping at each other throughout this adventure. I couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks for offering me one of the last fish you bought with the gold, but I’ll let you eat both of them as a peace offering. And if we both stick together, it doesn’t matter if Sharpspit wants to hassle us again in the future because we can beat him again with my battle skills and your bomb-making talent.”
Spooky: “Aww, thanks! You realize that you’re going to be waiting a long time before you can get your paws on that flaming hot pot since we don’t have potholders, right? Mwahahahaha!”
Now some videos with solutions for a few levels.
